Response:

Hi,
Currently Revit will not either Import or Link in a DWG file that stores a linked OLE object from Excel. However, what you can do is this:

1. Paste Special the selected content from Excel and Paste Link into AutoCAD as an AutoCAD Entities (a Table object) You may want to format a new Table Style so that the formatting and appearance of the Table is suitable.

2. Back in Revit, either Import or Link in this DWG file and place the content into a Drafting View or similar.

3. Subsequent changes to the source Excel data will be updated in the AutoCAD DWG file, then once saved can be updated in the Revit Project file. In AutoCAD, right-click the Table and choose Update Table Data Links

4. Save this file and in Revit reload the DWG link file.

5. See the changes.
